Greetings from space! Here’s what’s been happening around the shop.
Freshly discovered at TNNA, we’re thrilled to have the very cool new notions available from Cocoknits. The line includes a sweater care set, knitter’s keep, yarn snips, stitch markers and more. Read more about them here.
We have the full range of Woolfolk’s colorways now available in worsted weight. The backordered colors have landed back in the shop. Stop by to check out the supreme softness of this yarn.
Last but certainly not least, we are currently tracking a major new restock from Miss Babs! Keep an eye on Instagram for the arrival of three huge boxes of fingering and worsted weight treats.
Join us this Saturday for World Wide Knit in Public day! We will be celebrating the 10th year of taking knitting to the streets from 1-4pm in the Commerce Street Park (on the corner of S Fayette St and Commerce St). Learn more here.
Just announced: two great workshops from Olga Buraya-Kefelian! Tackle modular knitting with the recently-released Asanagi Wrap beginning on July 11. ($80) This class is perfect for adventurous beginners and more experienced knitters alike. Olga also returns with her Colorwork Shawl workshop on August 22. ($75) Learn three different methods to work colorwork flat and improve your overall color working skills.
Start at the very beginning with our Introduction to Knitting, Introduction to Crochet, or Spinning 101. All have seats available in their next sessions.
Or, sharped your technical skills with a one-day class: Cast ons and Bind offs. This class will teach you a variety of ways to begin and end your project for the best results possible. ($40)
Our June Knitalong is cruising on along. Buoyed by Kirsten Kapur’s visit last weekend, a few of the yarnistas have made it to the finishing stages. We’ve seen great progress on the Ravelry thread. Post your project there or use the hashtag #duaneparkknitalong to be entered to win a gift card.
