Week Wound Up – February 6

Week Wound Up – February 6

Greeting’s from space! Here’s what’s been going on around this shop this week.

New Arrivals

So many exciting yarns have landed this week. First, we received The Fibre Company’s Road to China Lace. This blend of alpaca, silk, cashmere, and camel is the lace weight version of the much-adored Road to China. We are thrilled to be the first shop to host the Pathways Collection, designed by Laura Nelkin for this yarn, which just launched on Thursday. Come see all of the garments at the shop!

We just received a new shipment of Miss Babs K2! The last batch sold out in less than 48 hours, and we are delighted to be restocked with an even bigger assortment of colorways this time. Stop in now to grab a skein or two of your favorite colors!

Last but certainly not least, our latest shipment of Hazel Knits Entice landed earlier this week. This MCN blend packs a buttery 400 yards to the skein.

We’ve just announced spring charity stitch-a-long. Please join us for the Bi-Annual Knit & Crochet Baby (Not Just) Hat Drive to benefit DC-DMV PAIL Net, the area’s Pregnancy and Infant Loss Network, in collaboration with The Solace Foundation and Stephen’s Heart. There is a basket for donations in the lounge. We will be collecting items through April 15. Turn in an item and receive a 10% off coupon.

On a lighter note, learn advanced colorwork techniques and dive in to the mysteries of steeking with upcoming workshops. Our next workshops with seats available come courtesy of Olga Buraya-Kefelian. Learn three different methods to colorwork with the Colorwork Shawl on Saturday, February 28 ($75), or take it one step further and learn to steek with Colorwork Steeked Cowl on Sunday, March 1 and 15 ($100).
