Greetings from space! Here’s what happened around the shop this week.

New Arrivals

Still looking for that perfect gift for the knitter in your life? New shipments of Binkwaffle and Knerd bags landed this week. Binkwaffles are available in two sizes: small ($35) and large ($55), and Knerd bags come in a variety of colors and designs ($30). Both can be found in the front room.

We just received a massive shipment from Miss Babs! We’ve restocked our column Yowza (560 yds of 100% superwash merino, $38 per skein). We’ve also got hundreds of Yummy 2-ply Toes on hand. Each mini skein of fingering weight contains 133 yds of superwash merino ($9.50). These are perfect for colorwork or small projects. Our staff’s been known to make a pair of socks out of two of these. Come in and get an assortment to play with for your next colorwork project!

Classes

While our current classes are wrapping up during the last two weeks of the year (!), we’re getting more and more excited about the winter semester. This semester has the most classes we’ve offered, with many favorite standards (so many sessions of intro knitting and crochet) as well as some that haven’t graced the calendar in recent memory. Make 2015 the year that you expand your horizon with the likes of double knitting, fisherman’s rib, or hand carding. As always, you can view all of our upcoming classes on our calendar.

What’s Hot

Why have cold hands when you use your phone? We’ve got connectivity thread available in the shop. Each pack comes with instructions to embroider the thread on the thumb and finger pads of your favorite gloves or mittens. The connectivity thread ($6) can be found by our help bar. No more taking your mittens off to answer that text!
