The week leading up to Black Friday/Small Business Saturday (through Nov. 28) Visit Alexandria is hiding approximately 20 black stuffed animal Scottie dogs wearing bandanas throughout Old Town and Del Ray. Each dog will have a prize description attached to it for the individual to enjoy – everything from a gift certificate to a local restaurant, a small item from a boutique, or attraction tickets. People who find the dog can retrieve their prize at the Alexandria Visitor Center.

Follow Visit Alexandria’s social media channels to find clues of where the dogs will be located. Individuals participating in the hunt are encouraged to tweet or Instagram their photos with hashtag #ALXscottie #ExtraordinaryALX and tag @AlexandriaVA on Twitter and @VisitAlexVA on Instagram.

We already had someone find one outside the front of fibre space and brought it in to show us, so keep your eyes open!
