We’re one week away from wrapping up the fall knitalong! How’s your sweater looking? We’re starting to see some FOs in the shop and the Ravelry thread (remember to post a photo of your finished sweater there to be entered to win free yarn!)
Taking a peak at what you’ve posted on Ravelry, you’ve made some great looking sweaters:
As far as the yarnistas go, Kim’s working on sleeves, after finishing the body and weaving in all her ends. It’s definitely a smart and responsible way to proceed, as opposed to my plan of pretending internal fringe is a fashion trend that just hasn’t gotten here yet. Trudy finished but is inclined to redo the bottom. Trudy and I both had some issues with the bottom rolling quite a bit. Her solution may involve ripping back and making a folded hem using the purl row as the turn and tacking the edge of the fabric to the inside of the sweater. I haven’t blocked my sweater yet and am keeping my fingers crossed that the roll will ease with proper finishing. Hope springs eternal.
Please keep sharing your projects and your experiences. We’ve really enjoyed making this with you. We can’t believe we’re wrapping up next week! Remember to post a photo of your finished sweater in the Ravelry thread (finished as in off the needles, not necessarily blocked and ready for a day of errands). Happy stitching!
