Found On Ravelry

This week while hunting around on Ravelry, my time was spent between looking at knitwear for tiny humans and accessories. I blame the plethora of birthdays coming up along with my ever growing desire to just sit and knit something for myself.

Ok, I’ll admit, this first one is cheating a little bit. I didn’t find it on my own, per se –  Heidi Atwood-Reeves posted this lovely tunic in our Show It Off thread on Ravelry. It’s knit in Sweet Fiber Merino Twist DK, and we think its absolutely splendid. (Also, if you haven’t visited the Show It Off thread before I strongly suggest that you do – and please share your finished objects! :))

This awesomely creative scarf called Wild Streak by Veronica Parsons uses one of our favorite yarns, Miss Babs Yummy Toes – what a wonderful way to experiment with color! Veronica made use of one of the Gradient kits available, and added her own amazing pop of color. You could put together your own set of toes and come up with something amazing!

Fond of You by Jenny Wiebe would look amazing on the tiny person in your life, and being knit in worsted weight it would be a quick project for the fall. This sweater would look awesome in Lorna’s Laces Shepherd’s Worsted –  to make the stripes really pop you could even use a Multi for one of the stripe colors and a soild for the other. Shepherd’s Wool would also make a cozy alternative.

And, lastly, to round out our selection for the week we came across this awesome shawl called Calia by Birdy Knits that is a match made in heaven for  Freia Ombre Fingering. The lace pattern would show off any of their lovely gradients!

What did you come across this week? What’s your new favorite pattern?
