Spring lace to spice up your spring wardrobe

Spring lace to spice up your spring wardrobe

We just got in two wonderful yarns for spring lace projects:

Handmaiden SeaSilk – $40

70% Silk and 30% Seacell in a light fingering weight. 437 yards per skein.

Sweet Georgia Merino Silk Lace – $39

50% silk and 50% Merino in a plied lace weight. 765 yards per skein.

The colors in stores this season have been a lovely mix of soft pastels with bright pops of color for accessories.

With that in mind, this week’s shipments have plenty to offer. Here are some brights for consideration:

For patterns, I am in love with simple lace that is easy to work and fast to complete. We all want these scarves NOW, right?

April Showers Cowl

I love this option because it is two strands of laceweight held double (or a single strand of the SeaSilk), which makes it a bit easier for beginners to pick up and handle. The lace pattern is easy to memorize as well.

Sugar Frost Infinity Scarf

This beautiful cowl by Anne Hanson is a great option as well and will work nicely in either of the yarns above.

Muji Painting

Just need something fast, simple and mindless? This is it!!! This is about all I can handle these days and really with colors and like what we have in these two yarns, stockinette stitch might be all you need to really create a “wow” accessory.

Crocheted Moebius

We have this pattern available at the shop. And boy is this one addictive! Fast and easy. For even a novice crocheter, this is doable.
