I have managed to seam up another baby sweater for the unknown gender baby that will arrive any day now (due in less than two weeks!) I decided on some “hipster” colors to put in this incredibly preppy pattern – a collar cabled baby sweater. I used Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino in Sienna and Dark Gray. The Baby Cash is hands down my favorite baby and child yarn because it is soft but wears well and is machine washable. (We shall see if a newborn makes me finally throw a hand knit into the washing machine..not so sure that I can do that. Sheep really don’t want to be in the washing machine).

It was pretty straightforward but a lot of small cables. Luckily I was able to work the cables without a cable needle, which helped. The pattern is found in the Simply Baby book by Debbie Bliss (available at the shop).
