While we are not really feeling spring weather outside, getting a jump start on spring stitching is key if you want to actually wear your spring garments in March, April and May. Here are the first to arrive at the shop:
Tahki Ripple
– 100% cotton, 142 yards aran weight, $10
Ripple has a unique construction and makes a lightweight and crisp fabric. It works wonderfully for spring and summer cardigans and shells. Found in the Ripple II booklet, the Friendship Modular Cardigan takes 7-10 balls of Ripple and is rated as a beginner sweater project. This versatile cardi will work through out late winter and spring as a layer piece!
Berroco Karma
– 100% cotton, 66 yards chunky weight, $9
Karma is super-bulky, so it knits up super fast. This mesh-constructed, machine-washable cotton tape is something you’ll enjoy wearing year-round. Check out the Chatterton wrap from this pattern book, which features purposeful dropped stitches!
Classic Elite Firefly
– rayon / linen blend, 155 yards sport weight, $9
Firefly is an exciting option for those that like working with linen type yarns. Check out the Fortress pattern and other light accessories available in the Firefly booklet that accompanies this yarn.
