Stonehedge Fiber Mill’s Shepherd’s Wool has been a favorite staple of ours since the shop opened, and the DK weight is just as amazing. Each skein is 100% merino wool and super soft! The DK version of this yarn has more plies than the worsted – in a tight twist that creates amazing stitch definition. This is the perfect yarn for just about any project you might want to make. Jane Richmond’s patterns are much loved in fibre space™, and her Pasha hat is a perfect complement to Shepherd’s DK. It’s a sweet hat that will be just the thing to get through cool autumn days. Make this hat with only 2 skeins. Total yarn cost: $16.
This yarn is just lovely to cable with. The Litchfield mittens from Twist Collective are just dreamy, and the Shepherd’s DK will really make those cables pop. 1 skein will make the mittens, and 4 will make the mittens and the matching hat. Total yarn cost: $8 – $32.

Ok, great ready because we saved the best one for last! We are all pretty taken with the From Norway with Love Hat, Scarf, and Mittens set! These adorable matching patterns are free from Anna & Heidi Pickles. The entire set can be worked in five skeins of the main color and one skein in each of five additional colors. With so many color options on this yarn, I am excited to pick out my colors for this set! (Total cost for hat, mittens and scarf: $48).
