Is this number 12?

i have lost track of my attempt to knit 12 sweaters in 12 months. I think I may have 12 or 13 but I can’t be sure, so I may have to go back through the blog and search. I know a couple are missing from Ravelry, so that is no help. This blue guy is made from Teva Durham Loop-d-Loop Moss. It is an interesting tape yarn, made of merino and nylon. I was really itching to work with it, so picked out this jacket from one of the pattern books for Loop-d-Loop (we have it here at the store). It is finished off with three vintage buttons from the antique store next door, of course. The original model had fabulous yellow Bakelite buttons, which I couldn’t find, so the jacket will have to settle for these. I do like the jacket a lot, I just wish it were about four inches longer. Really, it took very little time to knit, as it is done are enormous needles…but I can’t bring myself to tear it out and extend the body. So I will either wear it like a cropped jacket or not wear it at all. This puckery lipped mannequin seems to like it just fine.

Now I have two more gifts to finish up despite my insistence that I will never knit holiday gifts again. It keeps happening, no matter what I say. I don’t know how or why, but it keeps happening. I keep knitting holiday gifts. I will just schedule the spa appointment now, so that someone can put my body back together after the next three weeks of speed knitting…
