I knitted a dress

I knitted a dress

and then suddenly finishing a pair of socks seems really really attainable. This dress took almost five hanks of sport weight Louet Gems. I got up early this morning to finishing seaming the pockets and doing the crochet edging on the armholes.

It feels huge. But it is supposed to be big I suppose, so I think I like it…its growing on me. It does have pockets. That is pretty awesome. Nevermind that there is a hole in one of them because I suck at finishing. Nevermind the fact that I had to guy buy a slip, tights and a shirt to go with the dress.

So I think that if I can knit almost five hanks of sport weight yarn, along with a myriad of other projects, in less than 20 days, then certainly I can finish a few pairs of socks! So my pile of Dragonfly Fibers has gotten larger, not smaller, but if I commit to knocking out a few pairs of simple socks that really show off her colors, then I think it is ok if I leave the store with them…right?
