anyone else notice a problem here?
These are the sleeves of my sweater. They are distinctly different lengths. I believe the problem might be in my interpretation of the following: “Work the two previous rows another 13 times.” The first time I read that, it meant a total of 13 rows in addition to what I had already knitted. The second time I read it as it is meant: a total of 26 more rows in addition to what I had already knitted.
Lucky for me, I noticed this at about 10:30 last night. I then ripped back most of the sleeve (of course, the ribbing section is first, not last). Veronica just leaned over my shoulder while I was typing and pointed out that “this is why you do both the sleeves with two balls of yarn at the same time. Then they come out exactly the same.” Well aren’t you a little smarty pants.
Anyway, I sewed the sweater together last night while watching Discovery Channel health and woman who didn’t know they were pregnant (which is a VERY odd show), and I think it may have affected my ability to properly seam. Veronica is the only person who will notice my uneven seams (and has already pointed them out to me), so I will wear it around her only when she is drunk.
Veronica also finished a sweater last night. This is her Vine Yoke Cardigan from Twist Collective and Ysolda. It is done in under 2 hanks of Cascade Eco Wool and is accented with our buttons.
