Kel came over Sunday night for dinner and to watch True Blood (guilty pleasure of mine), and we were going through my stash to find a sock yarn for the Milkweed pattern (will be a class in the fall). Thank you to whoever mentioned that on Rav. I am so excited about it! Anyway, she spotted this silk cami and asked why the hell I had a silk cami thrown in my stash bins. I explained that it needed to be seamed on one side and that the armholes needed a crochet edging. I think Kel may have said something along the lines of, “You have go to be kidding me. Get this thing out and finish it now.” So after less than an hour of work, this gorgeous silk cami that has been sitting in my bins for over year was finished! It is the Krista pattern from Knitting Lingerie Style by Joan McGowan-Michael. (arriving soon) I didn’t work the sleeves up because they would look terrible on me and I really wanted to wear it with a cute little shirt. So here it is! Now back to finishing up my Helena baby sweater….
