Exciting package in the mail today

Exciting package in the mail today

No, it wasn’t my MIA wedding band…that still hasn’t arrived. We fly out tomorrow morning at 6AM. Lets not mention that again. Lets not ask questions about what the fiancee may or may not have done to put us in this situation. We also won’t speak of my lace wrap for the ceremony. it is now my lace wrap for the wedding reception at the end of May.

Miss Babs

Ok, so yesterday I decided that I needed to knit lace during the wedding/honeymoon trip to Nevis. It is probably the only time that I will be able to concentrate enough to actually knit lace. I just added a new time, location and teacher for the Adamas Lace Wrap class and thought I would knit up the pattern while I am gone. I have a serious addiction to Miss Babs yarn and I decided, in my wedding haze, that I must have her yarn for this wrap and that I must have it by today. So Babs was kind enough to send me a little package of yarn OVERNIGHT because she probably knows how crazy brides are when we get fixated on something. So this gorgeous little bundle of joy showed up today. It is a merino and tussah silk blend and I can’t wait to knit it up!

You might not hear from me for a bit. i have decided not to take my laptop with me. I might be able to blog from the iphone, but I am not making any promises. Look forward to stitching with you all when I get back!

If you are interested in taking the class on this project: June 2, 9 & 23, 7-9 p.m. at Buzz in Alexandria, VA with me!

If you are interested in knitting this wrap on your own, the pattern is Adams Wrap by Miriam L. Felton.
