I don’t know what I was thinking, but my little nephew was due several days ago and his little Easter sweater isn’t even started. His mom picked out the yarn and colors around thanksgiving time, so it isn’t like I haven’t had the materials sitting around the house for months. I talked to her last night and if she doesn’t go into labor before Friday, they are going to to induce her on Friday (the 13th…lets not mention how incredibly appropriate that is)
So I drove in today so that I would have Route 1 knitting time and was able to cast on and work the first two rows of the sweater. I am thinking that if I get this done by the weekend and in the mail on Monday, it should arrive by the time they get home from the hospital or are actually ready to put something other than a onesie on him. It should fit him for Easter, I think. I have never been a big one for Easter celebrations (at least not since the candy stopped arriving on that day) but with a little one in the family, I guess I am starting to think about things like, “will he have an appropriate Easter outfit?”
So as usual, the only knitting projects that I ever finish are those with tight and almost rediculous deadlines. This is yet another one. Well, at least it will actually get finished. Unlike the sock that I stole needles from this morning (well I only have four sets of US#2 needles and who knows where the other two sets are! This sock was hogging two of them, so I had to steal one. It’s not like I have actually seen the sock in months..he won’t mind)
