What is this weather?! Clearly I must have very poor circulation or it is exceptionally miserable outside. My toes are so cold at night that the dogs won’t even sit with me. (well, I must admit that I keep putting my feet on them. They are like little heaters.)
I am going to knit a second pair of the ballet style slipper socks so that I have something to roll around the house in on these rainy awful days. The first pair that I made (seen here) were for my grandma and I believe that she was buried in them. While this made me feel honored and special, it also made me a little sad. I am not one for burying people with perfectly good knitwear!
Anyways…so I will make my own pair. Luckily they are a quick knit. (and a quick two week class!) It is definitely a fast way to learn to knit socks without so much endless knitting in the round.
Join me on any of these dates:
Tues. April 14, 21 and 28, 7-9 p.m. at St. Elmo’s Coffee Pub in Alexandria, VA
Mon. June 8, 15 and 22, 7-9 p.m. at Greenberry’s in Arlington
For those with sock knitting skills, the pattern is Twinkletoes from Knitty.
