Goodness, I must stop starting new projects

Goodness, I must stop starting new projects

I just started ANOTHER project. That makes on the needles and in my “active” project pile:

Fair Isle mittens for the Fair Isle class

Stefanie Japel’s preview pattern from her new Glam Knits book that comes out in October

Steelers socks

Mitts that I started last weekend and still haven’t finished

goodness, what else..I don’t dare go look in that basket. It scares me.

Anyway, I started this blanket pattern for my brother’s baby. I am using the Sublime organic cotton and it is stunning. I am so excited to knit with it! The pattern is from 100 Afghan Squares to Knit by Debbie Abrahams [ravelry link]. These are two of the first square that I started working on, the triangle done in the nutmeg color. the pattern features a number of different baby block type squares. My brother’s girlfriend liked that it was very “heirloom-like.” It is going quickly so hopefully I can get it done by Christmas and give it to them as their holiday gift. By then we will know if he is having a boy or a girl and then I can start on little baby outfits 🙂
