Sponsored by Knit Happens
Join Knit-a-Gogo for an event that makes knitting a family affair. This unique event will include both beginning knitting instruction and an intermediate lace project for those who can already knit and purl.
Join us at Le Pain Quotidien (“the daily bread”) in Alexandria for an amazing fresh and organic meal at their communal table. Mothers and daughters will then share the knitting experience, either learning for the first time or improving on existing knitting skills to create a beautiful handmade spring scarf.
The price for this special event includes knitting instruction, luxury fiber and supplies provided by local yarn shop Knit Happens, and a special Mother’s Day gift for each participant. Beginners will choose among several unique fibers and learn to create a basic spring scarf. Intermediate knitters will choose among colorways of Schaefer Susan “Memorable Women” line of luxury hand-dyed cotton and will create the Undulating Waves scarf.
*Children aged 10 and older are welcome. Price does not include food.
