Yesterday was the Exploration of Lace Retreat at the Mansion on O street, my first knit retreat. We had an amazing room for the event. And brunch…well, i don’t think that i am alone in saying that the brunch spread was really just breathtaking. I ate everything from a cheese blintz to lamb chops and shrimp. If you haven’t experienced an O Street brunch, you really really should! Its a bit on the pricey side at $45 per person, but I promise you that it is worth it!

So after stuffing ourselves on brunch and mimosas and spending some time wandering around the many many Mansion rooms, we settled down for an afternoon of lace:

Most participants left with several inches of the Parthenope shawl completed and enough knowledge to finish the project this summer! Keep an eye on these folks on Ravelry…I might throw in a little prize for the first to finish!
