Project of the week: forsythia

Project of the week: forsythia

We just got a fresh batch of patterns from NNK Press and Quince & Co, including this simple and sweet top by Pam Allen designed for Sparrow. It’s just in time for spring stitching! This garment would pair nicely under a sport coat for business casual or with a pair of skinny jeans for fun weekend attire.

We love this pattern for Karin Oberg Kalinka, a 100% linen yarn from Sweden that is a nice substitute for Sparrow. Each skein is 320 meters and $19.95. The pattern would require only 2-3 skeins of the main color and 1 of the bottom contrast color. (Sizes 31″ through 44.25″ would require 2 skeins of the main and 1 of contrast and sizes 47″ through 55″ would require 3 skeins of the main and 1 of the contrast).

Pattern sizing: 31 (33¾, 36¼, 39, 41¾, 44¼, 47, 49¾, 52¼, 55)” bust circumference

Our recommended yarn: Karin Oberg Kalinka, 320 m / 100 gr

Style it! skinny jeans, white jeans or khaki for casual. Under a coat for business casual.
