In this class\, you will learn how something as simple as slipping stitches can create beautiful designs. We’ll discuss reading a mosaic chart\, fixing mistakes\, reading your knitting\, and a little color theory. Choose from four patterns ranging from adventurous beginner to advanced\, and let’s play with color! \nTwo 2-hour sessions meeting weekly on same day of the week \nFor each pattern\, be sure to choose colors with high contrast. This will make learning the skill much easier! We recommend choosing at least one color to be solid or semi-solid. This could be either your Main Color or your Contrast Color! DESCRIPTION:Join local designer Olga Buraya-Kefelian to create a crochet raffia tote! This adorable bag is created entirely using the granny square technique. Cleverly designed\, this tote folds up small and flat\, making it the perfect purse to pack for a trip. Olga will teach you the best ways to work with raffia\, a unique plant material that makes durable and washable accessories. \n \nSkills needed: \nThis workshop is an advanced beginner-level workshop. Students should be able to chain\, single crochet (sc)\, and double crochet (dc)\, and should have completed a crochet project previously.
