Within three weeks you will be spinning and plying your own yarn on an ancient\, yet portable form of spinning tool – the drop spindle. You will learn to make yarn suitable for knitting\, crochet\, weaving\, or any fibre craft. \nThree 1.5-hour classes \nSkills Learned:\n\nDrafting\nPlying\nFinishing your yarn\nFibres and their properties\n\nMaterials: \n\nTop whorl spindle (70mm 1.25 oz or 1 oz is recommended)\nClean wool spinning fibre. Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) or Corriedale top are recommended. Other medium-fine fibers (ex. Polwarth\, Romney) would be OK. Merino is finer and has a shorter staple\, so it is not recommended for starting.\n\nOptional Materials:\nRespect the Spindle or Start Spinning
