Join us for a weekend of sweater construction with a pro! Using the Yésica Lightweight Pullover pattern,
we will learn about the construction and design details that make it so flattering. Participants will choose among several Manos yarn types and weights and learn to customize the pattern to their specific needs — fibre, gauge, size, measurements. We will swatch (and block our swatches!) to ensure that we get great results, then begin knitting from the top down. By the end of the second day of class, knitters should be at or near the end of the yoke, ready to divide for body and sleeves.
Saturday: 10 am to 1 pm and 2 to 5 pm
Sunday: 10 am to 1 pm and 2 to 5 pm
*Lunch not provided. We will make recommendations on where to lunch in our neighborhood or feel free to bring a bagged lunch to class.
Knitters should be able to cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease, bind off. Some experience with short-rows helpful, but not required. Basic math skills (don’t panic — your smartphone has a calculator!).
