Stitcher Roadtrip to Neighborhood Fiber Co

October 6, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 5:30 pm
Event Category:

Shop. Stitch. Explore.

In lieu of hosting a pop up shop here in Alexandria, we are going to where the yarn is made! Jump into our charter bus for a special road trip to the studio space and retail shop of hand dyer Karida Collins of Neighborhood Fiber Co, in the historic Seton Hill district of Baltimore. There is no better place to explore the amazing rich colors of NFC than in their historic fire station studio space. Each participant will have round trip travel in our charter bus, receive free custom hand dye services* and have several hours to shop, stitch and explore the NFC Studio Space. For lunch, we invite you to visit Mt. Vernon Marketplace, just two blocks away.

*Each participant must purchase the yarn that they wish to have custom dyed. We can guarantee one custom dye color per registrant, with the opportunity for more colors as time allows.

Registration information:

The cost is $40 for this event, which includes transportation in a private coach bus to the studio and a goodie bag for each participant as well as custom dye services. We invite others to come and shop with us on that day with their own transportation, however only registrants will receive the goodie bag and custom dye services.

The Schedule:

Meet at fibre space at 10 am
Leave the studio around 4 pm, arriving home around 5:30 pm
