Fresh from the farm to your fingers! Come out to shop heritage breed yarns at our upcoming pop-up.
We are delighted to welcome back Amy Manko and Ross Farm, a family farm that has been in continuous operation for over 100 years. Come out and shop a huge variety of sheep breeds – Jacob, Cheviot, Leicester Longwool, Cotswold, Shetland, Florida Cracker yarns – plus Amy’s imported UK Shetland, Wensleydale, and Norfolk Horn yarn too! There will also be fibre and finished items such as hats and socks available for purchase.
This is an incredible opportunity to meet the farmer and shop her incredible yarns. Ross Farm yarn is even labeled with a photo and name of the sheep it was sourced from.
Ross Farm raises sheep, cattle, turkeys, hogs, and Miniature Mediterranean Donkeys. They concentrate on “Heritage Breeds” instead of the more common commercial breeds you’ll find at other farms.
Ross Farm is on the National Registry of Historic Places through the United States Department of the Interior as the “Frank L. Ross Model Farm,” and has been recognized by the local History and Landmarks Organization as a fine example of local agricultural architecture.
