Manos del Uruguay Talk, Presentation and Yarn Sampling

Manos del Uruguay is an artisan-owned cooperative that has been making yarn by hand for 50 years. Join their US team for a yarn talk and presentation about the history of the cooperative and its mission to provide economic, social, and personal opportunities for rural women. Explore their 14 yarns through a fun yarn “tasting.” Participants will also be able to view their gorgeous design collection and shop yarns not currently available at fibre space.

Manos del Uruguay is a certified member of the World Fair Trade Organization. Our presenter is Lisa Myers, the owner of Fairmount Fibers, the U.S. distributor and partner for Manos del Uruguay yarns. Lisa is the author of The Joy of Knitting, The Joy of Knitting Companion, and Knit So Fine.
