DESCRIPTION:Learn the basics of crochet while making a pair of cute fingerless mitts with one of our amazing crochet instructors! \nThree 1.5-hour classes \nSkills needed:\nAbsolutely none! Our beginner class is ideal for those who are completely new to the craft or who haven’t knitted in many years and need a full refresher. Students must be 16 and older to enroll. \nSkills learned:\n\n\nWork a foundation chain \n\n\nChain stitch \n\n\nSingle crochet \n\n\nReading a crochet pattern \n\n\nTerms  \n\n\nBasic fibre education \n\n\nHow to keep edges of rows straight \n\n\nHow to create three stitch patterns using only single crochet \n\n\nMaterials (all available at the shop for a 10% discount for your first class):\nFor each pair of mittens you make\, you will need 150 yards of light-colored worsted-weight yarn. We recommend Manos del Uruguay Ideal or Kelbourne Woolens Germantown.
