Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday occurs each year on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and is a day to donate to the causes that matter to us. Shop anytime with us on Tuesday, November 29th, and we will donate 20% of your purchase to our friends at Project Knitwell.

The team from Project Knitwell will be at the shop that day to host a meet and greet and provide more info about their programs.

Donate handmade items:

We will be accepting hats for the homeless at N Street Village on Giving Tuesday. You may donate hats in any size, material, or pattern. Project Knitwell would also appreciate a collection of “new or gently used finished hand knits and fiber notions” for their auction to support their new programs.

About Project Knitwell

Project Knitwell is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that offers knitting as a wellness tool to people facing stressful situations. We began partnering with Project Knittwell in 2014 and provided hats for NICU babies right here in Northern Virginia and needles, yarn, and books to parents and nurses to help relieve stress and provide comfort. We’re excited to be a part of this program that extends the comfort and delight of knitting to women in a period of stressful transition.
