This week I have gathered together a nice collection of cowl patterns to inspire your gift making this holiday season!
1. Orla’s Vine by Carina Spencer
Our entire team is freaking out just a bit over this cowl. I, personally, am obsessed with designer Orla Kiely. This little cowl is an ode to her leaf design. It uses sport weight wool and features an easy to master stitch pattern. We are using de rerum natura Ulysse and Di Gilpin Lalland!
2. Swiss Cross Cowl by Olga Buraya-Kefelian
I love this project. It’s stranded colorwork on huge needles and yarn, making it a quick knit and very satisfying. Grab two colors of Brooklyn Tweed Quarry for this one. And if you want to learn to make this, save the date! We will be hosting the designer for a two session workshop on this project on February 23 and March 2.
3. Wolfhoundstooth Cowl (Crochet) by Mrs Moon
We’ve got this snuggly thing at the shop right now for you to see in person! Grab two colors of the amazingly squishy Mrs Moon Podgy (back in stock!!) and work this up in an hour or two.
4. Scraptastic Cowl by Ambah O’Brien
We all have collections of bits and bobs of our favorite yarns that we just couldn’t part with. Now you can use them for one amazing project! This is fun way to explore pairing different and unexpected colors.
5. Oats by tincanknits
This super simple cowl requires only knits and purls! Grab a skein of Neighborhood Fiber Co Studio Worsted or another hand dyed Merino for a soft and colorful gift.
