The main ingredient for this refreshing spring cocktail comes from Senzu Juicery, and you can purchase it at the Old Town Farmers Market on Saturday or other locations around DC and VA–or order it online!
Now, let’s add some booze to that cold-pressed juice and make a Senzu Vokda Soda!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Senzu Energy juice (carrot, apple, orange, lemon, ginger, goji berry); you can substitute your favorite carrot and orange juice
Vodka (I used Ketel One)
Bitters (I used my new favorite, Boker’s Bitters)
Soda water
In a mixing glass, combine:
1.5 oz Senzu Energy juice
1.5 oz vodka (see, the secret to a good drink is to use booze and mixer in a 1:1 ratio)
3 dashes bitters
Add ice and shake well. Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice. Top with soda water or, if you have it, Fever Tree Bitter Lemon.
This drink inspired the palette for my next project, in Neighborhood Fiber Co. Studio Sock and Loft (from left to right, Cooper Circle, Otterbein, and Gwynn Oak). It’s summer! LET’S DO ORANGE!
