New Arrivals
We’ve received a giant shipment (3 big boxes!) of Neighborhood Fiber Co.’s Studio Worsted. This excellent 100% superwash Merino packs 400 yards to the skein ($40). Most colors are now back in stock in sweater quantities.
We’re thrilled to be hosting not one but two fantastic trunk shows that landed this week. First up: Madder Anthology Trunk Show arrived on Monday and will be with us through January 23. The self-published book Madder Anthology I is the work of designer and photographer Carrie Bostick Hoge. Stop by the shop and purchase her book and view the garments.
The Wool People 8 trunk show just arrived as well! We will be playing host to the new collection from Brooklyn Tweed now through Janaury 15. Stop in and check out the collection in person.
Classes
New year, new skills. Classes are filling up. Get while the getting is good.
Looking to learn the basics? We have seats available in an upcoming Introduction to Knitting session beginning on Thursday, February 19 at 7 pm. The three week class costs $75.
Learn to cable with the Dryad scarf. Our Introduction to Cabling – Cabled Scarf class on Thursday, January 15 will teach you the fundamentals of this technique ($50).
If you’ve tried basic cabling build your skills with our Advanced Cable Hat. This two week class begins on Wednesday, January 14 ($65).
Looking for a fun introduction to shawls? Our next section of Beginnger Shawl, Jimi starts on Wednesday, January 20 at 7 pm ($65).
Our next Entrelac Scarf class begins tonight, Thursday, January 8 at 7 pm. This two week class will teach you to purl backwards while learning this interesting technique ($65).
Want to learn to work in the round? Our next Beanie Hat class meets on Thursday, January 22 at 6 pm ($50).
Want to learn to make a hat on a slightly finer gauge? Try our First Hat – Beret or Slouch Hat beginning on Monday, January 26 at 7 pm ($65).
Missed out on the Introduction to Fair Isle Fingerless Mitts? We’ve added a new section, beginning on Tuesday, March 10 at 7 pm ($80).
We’re excited to be offering some special topics this winter. First up: Thrummed Mittens! Learn to make these thickly lined mittens over three weeks, beginning on Wednesday, January 14 at 7 pm ($80).
We’ve also got a series of technique workshops coming up: Continental Knitting on Tuesday, January 20 at 7 pm ($30), Finishing Essentials on Saturday, January 24 at 1 pm ($40), Gauge and Swatching on Saturday, January 24 at 1 pm ($30), Fixing Mistakes on Saturday, February 15 at 2 pm ($40), Efficient English on Tuesday, February 17 at 7 pm ($30), and Blocking Lace on Thursday, March 5 at 7 pm ($40).
Looking to branch out in the world of crochet? Try our Crochet Fingerless Mitts on Wednesday, February 4 at 7 pm. This one-night class costs $40.
Want to learn a special crochet technique? Try our Broomstick Crochet Shawl. This one-time workshop meets on Sunday, January 25 from noon – 3 pm ($50).

We’re excited to be hosting the sold-out workshop this weekend, Fall in Love with Fibre Workshop with Molly Miller. Looking ahead on the calendar, our next available workshop is Yipes Stripes! with Ann Weaver on Sunday, February 22 at 1pm. This fun workshop will teach you all manner of striping and braiding techniques. Hurry to reserve your seat now – there are only a few spots left open!
