Coming off of the fun that was the Miss Babs Trunk Show a few weekends ago, we now have a lovely shipment of her Yet base. This base is probably one of my favorites that she carries! Yet is a heavy lace weight bordering on fingering weight, meaning that it’s great for all sorts of lace projects, especially if you find the super fine yarns a little intimidating. As a wool/silk blend, this yarn offers up plenty of sheen. What makes it really unique, though, is its almost “rustic” nature. While by no means a rustic yarn in the traditional, itchy sense, there’s a texture that only Yet can provide. Lastly, this yarn wears beautifully. Having knit a giant shawl out of it a few years back and wearing the thing to death, it looks as good now as the day it came off the needles. While shawls are perfect go-to projects for Yet, remember that any lace weight pattern (provided you get gauge) would be appropriate, including sweaters!
