Brooklyn Tweed launched their newest collection Wool People 8 just in time for the transition from fall into winter. This time out, the collection reflects a modern rustic vibe. As Jared Flood put it,
I asked for garments and accessories that contributors envisioned for this cabin-friendly daydream. We focused on seamless construction and modern shapes that could be styled for rustic comfort, but also dressed up for more elegant occasions. Designers from seven different countries contributed twelve sweaters and four accessories that fit the bill for a weekend in the country, soaking up the last of the fine weather outdoors or getting cozy by the fire as the first snow flies.
The collection delivers on exactly that idea with a range of sweaters for bundling up such as Bracondale, Field, and Millisande.
The colorwork sweaters range from subtle striping with Eaves and Stratum, bold color blocking with Corbara and Escher, and the simply gorgeous stranded Flight.
The includes a range of fun to make, easy to wear open cardigans along with two hats (Rambler and Sawmill River Hat), a cowl (Maurits), and a lace shawl (Aster).
To help you enjoy the collection even more, we are excited to be hosting the trunk show for Wool People 8 in early 2015! If you’d like to get a jump on your next favorite sweater, stop by the shop. We’ve just restocked with sweater quantities of Shelter and LOFT. Perfect for all your cold weather knitting!
