Ann Weaver is returning to offer another of her very popular Yipes Stripes workshops. It is a one day course that teaches braids, slipped-stitch patterns, jogless stripes and turned hems. The pattern that the class uses is really perfect for jamming all of these skills into one course. (It is Saturday, June 28, 12-4 pm). I just love this pattern. It’s got enough action to keep me engaged but the finished object will rock as an accessory to my very neutral colored wardrobe. I think I might make it on larger needles to get a little more length out of it…
Since we just got a new batch of GORGEOUS kits from Neighborhood Fiber Co, I am itching to knock out one of these cowls. I have such an addiction to Studio Worsted that a kit filled with five colors is entirely too enticing…especially in these color combos.
I am leaning towards the first one. The bright teal with the reds…yum…Although the browns with the bright orange is kinda tempting as well. Although that I did protest the creation of that orange color – a shade that can be blamed entirely on Ann Weaver, of course. We really have to keep her away from Karida…
